How it works

How it works - LOOKING for HELP

  • Look for help - browse our community of helpers and filter them by the type of help you need 

  • Book helper - Once you have found the right helper, click on 'Book Tasker' and pre-authorize  the payment to hire them. Don't worry the payment won't be released to the helper until you mark the task complete.

  •  Wait for helper's approval - The tasker has three days to accept your request, if he doesn't, your request will be automatically cancelled. 

  • Get the job done - When the tasker accepts your booking request he is ready to perform the task that you have requested. Once the job is done just mark it complete, at this time the payment will be released to the helper.

If you don't find what you are looking for, or simply you don't have the time to browse, just list the job that you need help with. People in your area will apply for it and you can pick the one that best suits your need.

  • List - post the task(s) you can help others with, add some details and set your price.

  • Get task requests -  Once you receive a task request you will be notified via email and via text on your mobile.

  •  Perform the task - On the day and time requested by the asker.

  • Get paid - Once the job is completed and the Asker has marked it done on our platform we will release the payment to your TaskYourNeighbor account.

                        




FAQ - OFFERING help

What requirements do I need to become a Tasker?
There is actually no requirements, anyone with some kind of skills in one of the task category can be a good Tasker. The sooner you start the earlier you'll improve your skills and earn positive reviews that will bring more opportunity to work, earn some money and serve your community.

How can I post a TASK that I can help with?
When you sign up you will be asked to add your post details. Watch this short video to have a better idea on how easy listing a task is.

                          

Who sets the price for a task?
You set the price. You can choose to charge your customers by the hour or per task. 

Can I reject a task?
Yes you can. Once you receive a new task request you have three days (this may vary) to accept it. Bear in mind that rejection too often can affect your popularity as a Tasker in the community. We suggest to always send a message to the Asker when rejecting a task, explain the reasons behind such a choice. If you don't accept within three days the task is automatically rejected.

Hod do I get paid?
The payments you receive are credited to your TaskYourNeighbor balance. You can transfer your balance to your bank account at anytime, you just need to add your bank details and click the 'Withdraw' button in the payment area.

When do I get paid?
Once the Asker has marked the job complete on our platform the funds will be automatically released to your account balance. In case the Asker doesn't mark the job complete within 15 days from the date when your task was booked the funds will transferred to your account balance anyway. You can transfer the funds in your balance to your bank account at anytime, you just need to add your bank details and click the 'Withdraw' button in the payment area.

Can I rate an Asker?
Yes you definitely can. Once you have  completed a task you can provide a review of the Asker. We actually encourage that as it helps to make TaskYourNeighbor a better and safer marketplace.

Can I invite my friends?
Yes and encourage you to do so, just click on 'Invite new members' in the web site menu on the top of the screen.

FAQ - LOOKING for help

How can I search for a Tasker?
Finding a Tasker is extremely easy, just enter in the search bar in the home page a key word for what you are looking for, enter the location and click on the search icon. The results will be displayed showing first the helpers nearer to you. You can also filter the results using the filers on the left of the screen.

How can I book a Tasker?
Once you have found the right person that can take care of your task, select the booking date and time and click on 'Book Tasker'. At this point you are not charged yet as the Tasker has three days (this may vary) to accept your booking request. If the transaction is not accepted within three days or before the booking end date (whatever comes first), the transaction is canceled and no money is charged to you. 

I can't find what I am looking for or don't have time to browse around. How I ask for help?
Just click on the LOOKING for help button to list the task(s) you need help with. Add as many details as you can so that the helpers in your area can apply top your job with an appropriate price. Accept the application that best suits your need and pre-authorize the payment to hire the correspondent helper.  Don't worry the payment won't be released to the helper until you mark the task complete.



How can I pay?
You can safely pay by credit card. Our platform uses Stripe one of the safest and reliable payment gateway globally https://stripe.com/docs/security/stripe that is also serving popular companies in Canada https://stripe.com/ca/customers

When do I pay?
The general rule is that no payment transaction happens before the Asker accepts your booking request. If he or she doesn't accept within three days (this time might vary from time to time) the task is automatically rejected. In case the Tasker accepts your booking request,  the Tasker doesn't get paid until you have marked the task complete on TaskYourNeighbor.com. 

What is the service fee?

The service fee includes the TaskYourNeighbor fee.  This  is our source of revenue and help us to keep the platform stable, safe and innovative introducing new feature and services. The service fee includes also the payment gateway fees.
